The Armory Gallery is focused on the presentation of work created by national and regional artists with an emphasis on the educational role of a University Gallery as a teaching tool. The Gallery works with departments across disciplines to integrate its exhibitions and programs into Virginia Tech teaching and learning. The gallery space serves as a site for experiments in performative art, collaborative installation work, and interdisciplinary visual research. The inclusion of new media, digital, and film is an ongoing focus of the Armory Gallery’s curatorial program.
