About the Armory Gallery at the Virginia Tech School of Visual Arts

The Armory Gallery is a teaching gallery presenting work by national, regional, and international artists, using exhibitions as active spaces for learning, experimentation, and inquiry. The Armory Gallery fosters interdisciplinary collaboration and research, bringing together students, faculty, and staff from across departments to explore ideas at the intersection of art, technology, and other disciplines. The Armory focuses on exhibitions that engage visitors through immersive and interactive experiences, encouraging dialogue and connection. As a laboratory for emerging technologies and interdisciplinary art, the Armory Gallery provides students with hands-on, experiential opportunities to develop their creativity and prepare for careers in the arts.
All Armory Gallery programs and exhibitions are free and open to the public.
