Artist Statement:
During the 1920’s, the artists of the Surrealist movement developed a progressive way of working that explored creative improvisation, spontaneity, and the unconscious as a collaborative visual game. This game became known as Exquisite Corpse. Exquisite Cloud was created in the spirit of this game. It is an ongoing project which includes gallery installations, community engagements, parades, vended poems, video projects, participatory art experiences, and a mobile art studio. Exquisite Cloud in the Armory Gallery is an interactive multi-media installation that invites community member participation.
