Playing with Shadows

The Playing with Shadows collaborative mural is an interactive exhibition that invites community members to cut, cast, and curate their own shadow narratives, transforming everyday objects into immersive silhouette art. The installation debuted as an all-ages workshop as part of Virginia Tech’s Summer Arts Festival.

The pre-made materials, plants, animals, and mythical creatures in this exhibit were all inspired by our local area.
